Tony H. Latham

This book is the author’s account of his first major undercover case while working as a game warden. It is full of the suspense, drama, humor and tension that he felt as he assumed another identity as a risk-taking, less than honest smokejumper, fisherman and hunter named Tony Henderson. Along with veteran undercover agent and fellow game warden Mike Best, he visits a remote bed and breakfast near the small town of Orofino, Idaho. The Crabtree is run by a character of questionable morals and cleanliness who keeps extremely questionable and somewhat dangerous company. This is a true account of Tony's experiences with real-life thieves, liars, poachers and murderers.

This is a gripping and absorbing true story, skillfully and precisely told.  If there is any one book that tells what it’s really like to be on the front lines, protecting our nation’s wildlife, this is the one. Trafficking will quickly pull you in and keep you turning the pages. I promise. You won’t be able to put it down. It’s that good.”

-R.W.

If you love wildlife then ‘Trafficking’ will be an eye-opening read for you. It's a true story about the tough, and often ugly, job of protecting the wildlife we cherish.” -J.P.

“Home run brother! My only critique is it could have been twice as long and it would still be too short. I've read a lot of game warden books, fiction and non-fiction and this is easily among the best.” -M.F.

“Tony Latham has a great knack for writing and relaying his true adventures as an undercover wildlife cop. All I can say is "Wow!" and it is amazing that he lived to tell the tale.” -L.Z.
